In this course we focus on learning enough about the language to make use of the Greek tools and to understand the significance of Greek word parsings. At the end of this course you will be able to recognize figures of speech in the Bible, categorize them, and suggest what is being described in the passage. When we say something like, "I swam like a rock," we are saying we floated and moved through the water as poorly as a rock would. That is a figure of speech. God uses a rich variety of these to communicate with us in the Bible because they communicate at deep and profound levels.

Each course is 8 weeks long and has a book associated with it. E-mail lessons are delivered to you twice a week. Each lesson corresponds to a section in the book and the e-mail also has a link to a video where I [N] explain the Bible study technique and/or a link to a video where Denise covers the motivational/attitude issue.

There is an assignment associated with each lesson and you will be a member of an electronic forum where you can ask questions and interact with others who are doing these assignments.

If you want to teach these courses to your small group, the videos will be available in DVD form and the books are available in electronic or hard copy form.
